A thorough understanding of an individual’s investment objectives and tolerance for risk are essential fundamentals of a successful client/advisor relationship. I work closely with clients for the long term. This enables me to address their evolving needs for capital preservation and growth, as well as tax minimization. As with any good relationship, communication is a key factor - above all, it promotes clarity.
Past and Present
My career in the investment industry began in 1996 with CIBC Wood Gundy. After several years with a bank owned firm I decided it was best for my clients and myself to move to the independent investment dealer model. The freedom to provide independent unbiased advice is very important to me, and crucial to my ability to serve my clients. I am proud to have joined Industrial Alliance Securities Inc. (IAS) as of January 2014. I have known many of the people that work here for several years and I believe that IAS’ reputation for advisor freedom and outstanding client service bodes well for my clients.
When not at work I enjoy spending time with family and friends in the city and up north. My wife, Liz and I are raising four very busy children. In my spare time I coach a very high level team with the Scarborough Basketball association.
