Rod Stein joined the Bank of Montreal (BMO) in 1972 and in 1979, became the Senior Manager Bond Trading responsible for all trading and distribution of long term debt market products. Three years later, he was promoted to Vice-President within the Bank’s Domestic Cash Markets Group, mainly responsible for the origination, distribution and trading of Money Market Products to the Corporate and Institutional client investor group. In 1987, Rod assumed total responsibility for the origination of all money market activities as Director of the Debt Origination Group, within the BMO capital Markets and specialist in structured products. He has consulted on numerous capital market opportunities, namely:
- CFO of Blackstone Energy Group, a green-energy company specializing in the capitalizing and funding of green energy initiatives.
- Public debt management projects for certain Central Banks.
- Advisor to a Federal Government Agency in regard to the securitized asset-backed fixed-income markets.
